Quran for Beginners and New Muslim Sisters
Starting from the very first letter is nothing to be shy about. Whether you are a new Muslim, never had the chance to learn as a child, or simply want a fresh start, lessons begin exactly where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable.
Your learning path
- The Arabic letters: recognising and pronouncing all 28 letters.
- Letter shapes: how letters change at the start, middle and end of a word.
- Vowel marks: fatha, kasra, damma, sukoon and shaddah.
- Reading words and short verses: using Noorani Qaida style exercises.
- Reading from the Quran: short surahs first, then longer passages.
For new Muslim sisters
Many reverts want to learn the surahs used in daily prayer first, such as Al-Fatiha and the short surahs at the end of the Quran. Your teacher can prioritise these, explain their meaning in simple English and answer questions patiently. There is no judgement here, only support.
A comfortable space
Lessons are one-to-one, the camera is optional and you can ask anything. Read more about privacy and how classes work.
After the basics
Once you read confidently, move on to Tajweed for ladies or Arabic for women to understand what you recite.
Teachers and fees
Female teachers are available 24/7, and a male teacher can be arranged 24/7 if you prefer. Classes are $30 USD per month for Monday to Friday; weekends or fewer days are arranged as a custom plan with our team.
